The focus of my Life-Coaching is to assist others in realizing their intentions and maximizing their potential. Practicing psychology for 25+ years has enabled me to see what life skills are necessary for change to occur most effectively. I also understand how we limit ourselves in many ways. Life-Coaching is designed to clarify your intentions, to provide the steps needed to accomplish them, and to enhance your resources in making them happen.
Life-Coaching can be just one session; other times it can be extended depending your goals and desire for support. I am one of many resources at your fingertips and you can use our time together to fit your needs.
As a Life-Coach I’ve worked with academics, business owners, managers, and physicians on how to be effective leaders, balance their work and personal lives, and pursue their aspirations. Professionals often need someone outside the office to discuss a range of issues where they need that objective and fresh perspective. For a couple years I coached deans and chairpersons at Case Western Reserve University in a project designed to heighten their emotional and social intelligence with the intention of recruiting and retaining a diversity of faculty across departments.
Another specialty has been coaching other coaches and therapists in their personal and professional development. I fully understand the need to “walk the talk”. The more we do our own work, the more effective we are in helping others.
I’ve worked extensively in helping couples enhance their communication skills and deepen their emotional connection. Along with Dr. Kathleen Corcoran, we’ve created an experiential weekend for couples called, “The Heart of Relationships.” The workshop is designed to foster personal transformation to enhance your relationship with your significant other.
Life-Coaching provides the skillful means for the journey of Self discovery. I’ve had the privilege of being present for others as they awaken to their spiritual nature. I incorporate transformative methods including mindfulness and meditation into the work. In addition, I can use energy-based methods to help release long-held limiting beliefs, behaviors and emotions that interfere with knowing our True Nature. All religious traditions are honored while we focus on discovering universal principles of awakening that feel right to you.
My work has been inspired by the potential we all have to function at a higher level. In our fast-changing world, our emotional and social development has to keep pace with all the informational and technological advancements. I’m an avid explorer of ways to integrate the mind, body and energy aspects of ourselves to help us all develop a passion for living with greater meaning and purpose while experiencing our connection with others, the world and our spiritual nature.
